The Foundation for Central Schools,

established in 2004 as an independent non-profit public charity, was formed to encourage increased community involvement and investment in our schools. We are the fastest growing district in the Central Valley. As we grow in size, we have found the need to generate supplemental funding to preserve excellence in our schools. Our vision is to support those programs in which students are inspired to learn, develop intellectual capacity, and become prepared to succeed in the future. The Foundation is working toward building community partnerships that will allow greater funding opportunities to support the increasing school population.

Goals

Strong schools are critical to the Central Valley; therefore, the community must take action to ensure success. The Foundation for Central Schools serves as a connection between the community and Central Schools to increase the impact of resources for students and teachers. We are dedicated to assisting the District in reaching its strategic initiatives; to that end we have built our strategic objectives to compliment the Districts goals for the future of Central Unified. Listed are key strategic objectives:

Strategic Objectives:

Communication / Marketing
Build awareness, communication and create a culture of giving and support for Central Unified School District among faculty, staff, alumni, parents and the community.

Grants
Achieving excellence in schools through grant opportunities through the Foundation.

Resource Development
Support the District’s efforts to fund, and maintain a “district of excellence and choice” with sufficient resources to achieve these objectives.
