We can't believe the chapter is ending for the 22-23 school year.
We did so much from giving out grants and scholarship to opening two clothing closets, increasing food distribution, and making new memories with our volunteers, donors and community partners. Our community outreach will continue through the summer, so be sure to stay tuned for our next big announcement in July. And of course, our Golf Tournament on June 25th!
We are so thankful for being part of the #CentralCommunity and we look forward to celebrating our 20th Anniversary as a Foundation next school year! Have a great summer and congratulations to the class of #2023!

Our Central East High School, Danzantes de Tlaloc celebrated their 25th Anniversary Showcase. The Mexican Folkloric dance group, shared their love of Mexican #cultura by performing 30 dances in front of a sold out crowd on Friday Night.
Founded in 1997, the dance group started as an after school program by then Spanish Teacher Alfonso Jimenez. Several years later, the program converted into a class, "Danzantes de Tlaloc" which translates to, Aztec God of Rain. In 2005, Rosa Gonzalez became the director and is the current Director today. Currently, there are over 100 dancers. Most recently, a program has been established to include alumni dancers as performers and instructors. The program concluded the 22-23 school year with the annual Showcase Friday night at the Central East Performing Arts Center. Senior dancers were also highlighted for their commitment and their dance projects, like La Loba del Mal from Baja California: estillo Calabaceado - which was a new dance being performed for the first time. And although this was a bittersweet moment for some dancers, these performances were a true representation of the diversity in the Central Community.
Thank you Danzantes de Tlaloc for including the #Foundation4Central in this beautiful night and we are happy to support the growth of this beautiful program.
